The OB-6 and the TEO-5 both have a pair of digital effects after the voices, and three of them are ones engine/effects.h has nothing like: a phase shifter (theirs is modelled on Oberheim's own), a ring modulator, and reverb. We will probably want all three at some point. Not now.

engine/effects.h today is a chorus, a delay and bass and treble controls, each defeatable, shared by every instrument. These would join it there, so every instrument gets them, as it does the others.

Things to settle when it is taken up:

Where each sits in the order, and what its parameters are called on every instrument (phaser.*, ring.*, reverb.*?).
What the ring modulator multiplies the signal by. The SH-5's voice already has a ring modulator of its own, which is a different thing: that one is inside the voice.
The cost on the Pi 3B. A reverb is the dear one. The SEM family runs its effects twice, one a side.
Provenance: built to sound right from published descriptions, as the chorus and delay were. Nothing from a GPL reverb.

Sources so far are the instruments' published specifications only (docs/references.md); neither manual has been read.
