The JX-3P has a step sequencer of 128 steps, and the JX-10 one that records to a cartridge. Neither is done in mini-JX (#19). They belong with #2, #3 and #5, the other instruments' sequencers.
Read so far: the JX-3P owner's manual, pages 8 to 11, and the JX-10 owner's manual, pages 21 to 23, both linked from
docs/references.md. Neither was read closely for this.To settle first: whether each instrument's sequencer is its own or all of them are one shared sequencer with the union of what the hardware's could do, as the arpeggiator is.
Ben decided on 2026-10-12 that no instrument's sequencer is cloned: one sequencer is built for every instrument, #56, with the features he chooses from each hardware one. This issue stays open as a reminder to mine this sequencer for features, and is not to be built as it stands.
